Designed for rugged environments, the Minitor V pager from Motorola is the latest design from a long lineage of pagers used by fire fighters and rescue personnel. Now even louder than its predecessors, the pager has a wide variety of programming options, including:
Multi-channel Scanning - It can be programmed to monitor and react to tones on either one or two frequencies, scanning between them as required.
Discrete Operation - With the voice storage option, it can be set to vibe and push-to-listen. That means it will vibrate when alerted and silently record the call, allowing you to move to a private area to replay the message without disturbing others.
The unit also now features an improved belt clip design that allows the clip to come free from the pager, potentially reducing the number of broken housings.

Programmable options
Below is a list of programmable options. The function switch has 4 positions (A, B, C, and D) that can be programmed for any of the following options, depending on the pager model.
|
- Selective call F1 - The pager is quiet until the tones on channel 1 are sent, then the pager alerts and turns on the audio so you can hear the transmission
- Selective call F2 - The pager is quiet until the tones on channel 2 are sent, then the pager alerts and turns on the audio so you can hear the transmission
- Monitor F1 - Monitors all the traffic on channel 1 and alerts whenever the tones are sent
- Monitor F2 - Monitors all the traffic on channel 2 and alerts whenever the tones are sent
- Probability Scan - The pager will scan between F1 and F2 stopping whenever a transmission is detected on either channel. The pager will lock onto the channel and will not release that channel until the transmission ends. The pager will alert in both F1 and F2 channels when in the non priority scan position.
- Priority Scan - This function will scan for this first active channel, but when F2 is the active channel, will scan back at periodic intervals looking for activity on the priority channel F1. Should F1 become active, the pager will switch to F1 until activity ceases.
- Silent Scan - Scans between F1 and F2 but does not open the audio unless you receive an alert.
Note: Each of the above options can be set to (Alert only) (Vibe only) or (Alert & Vibe)
